

Selling has always been my career preference. Just like what I always say in my trainings, “selling is very easy, because every day we make a sale in our lives.” Five years ago, I saw this blind ad from the newspaper offering great opportunities, bigger income and lots of incentives. Without hesitation, I responded to the ad, never knowing what’s in store for me. I never knew that I was applying for a commission-based job. I told myself that I have nothing to lose so why not give it a try. I stayed, I worked hard and I waited for my time to shine. The next thing I know, I was promoted as the District Sales Manager here in Manila.
My company, Filway, indeed opened a new door for me, a life and career that no other company can offer. All my dreams were brought to reality – a sumptuous steak for a meal, a trip to Disney Land, and most of all, being able to afford to send my son to one of the most prestigious schools in the country, which I consider my biggest fulfillment. All my hardwork and efforts were greatly recognized by the company and that’s why I’m very grateful and I promised myself that I’d be staying with Filway for as long as Filway needs me.

Like others who have joined the Sales Department of Filway, I first encountered Time Life Books as a subscriber. I was so astounded by the excellence of the products that I had no qualms when I was invited to join the company as a Sales Consultant. For me, it was an advantage that I was a satisfied customer. I had no difficulties in selling the products and vouching for its quality.
Since then, I made it my personal mission to share Time Life Books to as many families as possible in the Visayas Region. The income will just follow. “Mission first before commission” was the mantra that I live by. And when I was promoted to Unit Manager two months after joining the company in 2003, my determination doubled. Selling was not my sole task anymore. I now focus on recruitment. From two performing Sales Consultants, I now have more than 20 active members. My personal success as well as the stellar performance of my unit can only be attributed to two things. First is the first-class quality of our products. Second is the support and generosity of the management. It is no wonder that we could sell to families with such ease and enthusiasm. It is because I personally experience how it is to be part of a big and successful family at Filway.

As a housewife, I simply did not limit my role in taking care of my children and to budgeting the family income. I wanted to be proactive such that I have set a personal financial goal for myself that would, in the end benefit my family. I first ventured into real estate. Although I was able to sell a few condominium units, income was intermittent and traveling to nearby provinces just to make a sale was laborious and time consuming.
Because these factors were not favorable for my role as mother and homemaker, I prayed for another job that would be financially-rewarding and at the same time, would allow me to have enough time for my children. My prayers were answered when I was introduced to Filway in 2004.
I first encountered Filway and Time Life Books when a Sales Consultant, now my District Manager, offered it to me. She did not only offer me learning materials for my kids, she also gave me the opportunity to join the company as a member of her sales team. Since my first sale, I have been working hard for four years now to achieve my personal goal of earning extra income for my family. I will continue giving my best because I have found in Filway an answer to my prayers and the fulfillment of my dreams. This company has given me purpose in life.

Four years ago when I responded to a blind ad in the newspaper, I knew that my life would change. But I never expected that it would change this much. Not only have I found a new career but also I found a new home. The moment I attended the sales training, I told myself that this is the career path that I want to take. I was moved and hyped by the motivational talk during the training and it made me so excited looking for prospects and board for my first presentation. I worked so hard to close every sale and hard work paid its worth. From a Sales Consultant, I was promoted to a Unit Manager position. I have experienced so many things that even I myself could not believe. I never imagined myself going to different beautiful places for free and staying in luxurious hotels in the country with my kids. All of these were made possible by Filway - my second home and where my heart stays.

Some 20 years ago, I thought I had planned out my life well enough. After getting married, I resigned from my job to continue my studies. I then graduated as a midwife and considered taking up nursing afterwards. However, this did not materialize as I was already pregnant with my first child. To support my growing family, I worked in Taiwan for a year. When I came back to the Philippines , a friend of mine offered me to work with her group and thus begins my journey with Filway. New to the field of sales, I was so unsure as to how I would make a dent in this business, let alone sell Time Life books. But because of the mentorship of my managers, I was able to develop my self-confidence, like an eagle realizing it could fly. Since then, I could do presentations on my own and close at least one order per week.
To date, I am a District Manager with several members under my wing. While selling for my personal production, I mentor new people to realize their own potentials.
